Properties
The Glycolic Extract “Kigelia” is obtained by macerating the bark of the African Kigelia in propylene glycol and water. It is a plant extract rich in saponins, flavonoids, and phytosterols that give it anti-radical, moisturizing, firming properties, and stimulate microcirculation. Furthermore, thanks to its particular peptide composition, it can make the dermis compact, forming a true invisible tensioning network.
Traditionally, the first to discover the cosmetic virtues of African kigelia were the Lebous women of Cape Verde, who used to spread the breast with a pulp derived from the fruit, to stimulate its growth and firm it. Nowadays, the effectiveness of kigelia extract as a firming and tensioning agent in breast products has been confirmed by clinical tests, which also demonstrated its functionality as an astringent and dermopurifying agent in the treatment of impure skin.
