Properties of Shea Butter 
In Africa, Shea Butter is used in cooking, in cosmetics and for its medicinal properties. Here, the most common use is cosmetic; Shea Butter indeed promotes cell renewal and is therefore an effective anti-wrinkle, given its high content of essential fatty acids for hydration, elasticity, and skin balance.
It also appears that the unsaponifiable fraction of this butter, as it is rich in vitamin A, vitamin E, and F, can influence the hormones that command fibroblasts, stimulating them to produce collagen and elastin, the proteins responsible for the elasticity and firmness of the skin.
Thanks to its soothing and antibacterial action, it is used pure or with other vegetable oils on dry, flaky, sensitive, or inflamed skin, as well as on wounds, abrasions, diaper rashes, and eczema. In addition to its soothing, moisturizing, and nourishing properties, Shea Butter helps heal and scar the skin, so it can be used on small wounds and scratches, as well as on lips, hands, and feet when the skin is chapped.
